How to label nursery slippers so they do not get mixed up

Similar slippers can be mixed up in a busy nursery cloakroom. A clear name helps adults return a lost shoe and helps a child recognise their own pair. First ask whether the nursery has a preferred way to label footwear.
A simple three-step method
- Look for a sewn-in tag or a smooth spot inside the heel. The name is easy to find when putting the shoe on and less visible to strangers.
- Mark both slippers, not only one. A first name and surname initial may be enough; avoid putting an address or phone number on the outside.
- If using a sticker, press it onto a clean, dry surface and check that no edge lifts. Keep it away from the fastening, rough seams and the part of the insole under the foot.
Test the pair before nursery
Allow ink or adhesive to dry as directed. Let your child put the slippers on, take a few steps and return them to their place. Move the label if it wrinkles or rubs. A familiar design can help a child spot the pair, but a name still matters when two children have the same pattern.
If you need a new pair, check the size table, browse kids’ slippersand see the available Antal Rascal Basic Black. Choose a comfortable size before adding a permanent mark.
