One pair of slippers for home and nursery, or two?

Two pairs of children’s slippers for home and nursery

One pair may be enough if it meets nursery rules and you can keep it clean and dry every day. Two pairs are often more practical when slippers stay at nursery.

Start with the nursery’s rules

Ask whether it requires a particular type of indoor shoe, fastening or name label. The child should be able to put the pair on safely during the normal classroom routine.

When a second pair helps

  • Nursery slippers stay in the changing area.
  • The home pair needs time to air and dry after wear.
  • Home and nursery floors call for different soles.
  • You want a clean spare when the first pair gets dirty.

Try on spare slippers regularly too. A child can outgrow shoes stored in a cupboard. Check a new size in the size table. The fit of each pair matters more than the number of pairs. Compare children’s slippers for nursery.
